EDF Project - January 2011
Starting this year we offer a new service to help anyone who is struggling to manage their energy costs or to pay their bills.
Help is FREE and available to all. We aim to improve client understanding of how to manage their energy consumption and bill payments as well as providing specialist help and support in
- Dealing with creditors and setting up repayment plans
- Referral for Debt Relief Orders or Bankruptcy
- Assistance with applications to charitable trust
- Resolving bill queries and accessing social tariffs
Charitable Applications
Most utility companies, including EDF Energy, support charitable trusts that provide financial help for vulnerable clients in the form of grants. Qualifying individuals can apply for grants to help clear fuel bill arrears and get fresh start.
As well as help to clear fuel debts grants can also be made to
- help clear other priority debt
- purchase essential household items (e.g. white goods)
- pay DRO or Bankruptcy fees or other qualifying one-off payments (e.g. funeral costs)
Our adviser can complete trust fund applications on your behalf and help with all aspects of the application process.
